Kinpachi Restaurant Subang Jaya

We celebrated Mother's Day in this place! Luckily mum booked the place herself *sweat* otherwise we'll have to wait super long time. Hmm this is the 3rd time we dined there. So here goes a review.

Ambience: Moderate. Music soft, lights adequate, even offers a comic book shelf while customers wait for the food. However, the table is way too small!!!!

Customer service: Good. They refill drinks often without being asked. They did not forget things like "can we have spoons please" and that sort of requests.

Price: Average. For Japanese food, it's average. Per meal ranges from RM 20-50 depending on what you ordered.

Taste: Side dish nice. But main dish I do not like. I ordered Teppanyaki seafood set and they added a weird tasting sauce, which spoiled the whole idea of teppanyaki lor. Then not all sets come with Chawanmushi. Why?! RM 4 only ma, like that also kiamsiap to give!

Photos!

The restaurant is on the first floor of the row of shops in SS 17 Subang Jaya facing the main road (opposite Toyota 3S), and above Hyundai showroom.

Simple table setting only.

This is where they impressed me. You know in Sushi King, you have to tell the staff cold or hot EVERYTIME you refill?? This restaurant serves cold and hot in different glasses. Bravo. Innovative customer service.

Edamame. They salted the skin of the beans. Weird!

Bacon with asparagus. To be precise THE WHOLE STALK of asparagus is wrapped with a tiny half-a-slice bacon. Wah not enough bacon. But it's a surprisingly nice combination. Could do better with more bacon and less asparagus.

My seafood teppanyaki set. Brother and I ordered the same thing and our parents ordered a Saba set (all Saba sets look the same so didn't take a photo). I loathe despise hate dislike fish!
