How Far Can Experiments Go?

Most friends said that my experiment to retrieve mice sperm by killing them is a sick thing to do. Today, after feverishly looking for more journals to cite in my Review of Literature and Discussion chapters, I found two even sicklier experiments.

a) Kill the mice and leave it for 24 hours at 22°C before dissecting it to retrieve the sperm (Songsasen et al., 1998).
b) Kill and immobilize the WHOLE mice body at -20°C for 15 years, before thawing and dissecting it to retrieve the sperm (Ogonuki et al., 2006).
